Int’l Women’s Day: Ijede Celebrates Strength, Contributions Of Women

The Executive Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo -Alogba has felicitated and congratulated the womenfolk in her domain commending their strength, courage and contributions.

Hon. Gbadebo -Alogba who said that supporting women is a responsibility, added that her administration will continue to come up with initiatives to empower the girl -child and women to succeed.

The youthful council executive chairman lauded the contributions of women in a statement commemorating the 2026 International Women’s Day.

“I was raised by a strong woman who taught me from an early age that supporting women is not charity but a responsibility. That lesson continues to shape how I see leadership and how I serve our people today.

“Across our homes, markets, offices, and streets, women remain the backbone of our families. Their resilience, hard work, and dedication continue to shape our society.

“As a government, we remain firm believers in inclusion and equal opportunity. We’re deeply committed to supporting initiatives that empower women, and girls to grow, lead, and succeed.

“Today, we celebrate the strength, courage, and contributions of women everywhere, especially the hardworking women of Ijede LCDA.

“Happy International Women’s Day!”
